The Italian Violinist/Guitarist/composer Niccolo Paganini lived from October 27th 1782 until May 27th 1840. He was so impressive with his virtuoso playing that he literally scared people to death at his performances where he played beyond the capacity of virtually all contemporaries before and since. He is probably most famous for his 24 Caprices which is the current bar of excellence for most modern violinists even though he composed these as exercises at the age of 16, he is historically noted to have been in his prime in his mid-40's.
I have very little in common with Paganini other than I picked up the guitar at age 14 on October 27th 1982, 200 years to the day when Paganini was born, and this is my original Caprice based on Paganini's Caprices. I would call this one...Caprice number 11 in D Minor. Other than that, I like Mozart, Liszt and J.S. Bach better. LoL.
