Short video I made of me and a Kawai K4. all sounds are Kawai K4 presets, strait out the box. Many sounds I am playing trough the Kawai K4's internal DCF filter. Drums and effects are all factory Kawai K4 sounds and effects. The Kawai is an early 80's digital synthesizer that makes some nice clean sounds. The synth was known for its ease of use in programing. Fully midi in/out/thru with addition card input for more sound programing. The soft pads and smooth leads are my favorite for this syth.

  • This sounds as good as any modern synth! Nice job!

  • Maccagrabme, opinions are like assholes, we all have one. Modern synths are all sterile sounding, with no personality, or character...kind of like you!

  • aiga me dueden decir como se llama el editor que se ve en el video gracias

  • so perfect for tonight

  • Woah, that distant sounding pad, sounding like a synth string on time-variable flanger, is so great. Rest as well is respectable, and the whole composition, thumb up + placed in favorites!

  • Great demo! I have the same synth here. I think most of the presets are a bit exotic, although they show the potential of the synth. I bought me some 3rd party floppies at ebay, and was surprised about the quality of some 'standard' sounds, like piano, e-piano and organ, Started to work with them now, and think this synth makes a great addition to my arranger keyboard.

  • i have this same synth, best synth i have ever used. Great demo

  • @tmg1968 Sorry to pick on your comment but I take it you haven't heard many modern synths? Sorry but to compare this to any modern softsynth such as omnisphere, Zebra, Ace, Largo or something like a v-synth you must be crazy, deaf or both. The pad sounds acceptable but the rest is distinctly average. This doesn't even compare to any modern synth like the Wavestation, D50, Sy99, or M1 from 20 odd years ago.

  • amazing.. good work..

  • It sounds like a 3000 USD synth (Virus?); excellent work!
