I think it's unfortunate that we DON'T have to learn a trade at a young age. If we did, maybe less people would be so unskilled and unmotivated at life.
Shortnelly, The two videos lay out the process pretty clearly, but it is important to start with quality clay from the beginning. The quality of clay in this area of Uganda is definitely one of the keys to this projects success.
good luck,
matt

what are these bricks made from and are they fired in a kiln to makle them strong?

The bricks are made from a very high quality clay. They are fired in homemade kilns after being dried in the sun. The second video shows the kilns.
Thanks for your comments,

The children do work while they learn, but they also keep all of the earnings from the sale of their bricks. These earnings provide the children with a method of paying for their school fees. In a perfect world, we wouldn't have to teach young children how to learn a trade to survive and pay for their education, but unfortunately we're not quite there. Please consider yourself invited to come inspect the project if you have concerns. Thanks for your interest.

Thanks for your interest. They are not available in the UK. They are all sold to locally or given away within the community.
