It's not that it doesn't matter, but it's Bob Dylan! Bob Dylan! It's an honor just to see him, his voice doesn't matter (IMO) just because of that reason. This man has given us so much over the years music wise, that his voice just doesn't need to be great.
In my opinion, I feel that "Like a Rollin' Stone" 's message is saying don't take advantage of what you have now or look down upon people that don't have what you have. You never knows what's in the cards or when you could lose everything. Take it easy, don't let things get out of hand, and don't be greedy. A rolling stone grows no moss...but a rolling stone can often roll out of control and towards disaster.
