Here's my Standard Gauge under-the-Christmas-Tree layout for this year. The train is my American Flyer 4692 and freight cars. The accessories are, from start to finish: Lionel 45N Prewar Gateman, Lionel 78 traffic signal, Lionel 155 Freight shed, Ives 114 passenger station, and a Lionel 191 villa. The cars and trucks are modern diecast replicas, the people are a mix of vintage Barclay, and a few modern cast resin made for "G" gauge use. There are a few cast iron antique toys such as the ladder on the freight shed, the farmer on a tractor and the cannon. I lighted the Ives station, even though they did not. The music is the song "Faeries" from the Mannheim Steamroller CD "Christmas Wonderland".

  • Nice layout. It looks like the large Ives station is illuminated. How's that? I thought they were completely lithographed with no lighting. Just curious

  • I mounted two modern Lionel street lamps to wooden blocks that press fitted into the station, and I lightly silicone sealed two of the same lights under the eves. I do not permanently alter vintage accessories. Glad you noticed!
