Jerry Jeff - I was also lucky enought to see many times. My best time, JJW and the Gonzos came to Casper, Wy. 4th of July. Maybe about 1980. Great times.

I was living in Ecuador for several months in 2003. A friend of mine gave me a mix tape with JJW singing "Navaho Rug." I loved that song. Just thinking about it places me back in my little cabin, on the edge of town. I can see Volcan Sangay looming high on the horizon, and I can smell hot, salted eggs and ripe avacado in the air.
I haven't listened to JJW since then. Now I'm living in Egypt and I can't get enough of him. His optimism and authenticity make me feel humble and happy.

This song has been my motto since high school also.. Used to listen to it every day on the way to and the way from school - Graduated in 2003 though lol.
