@seb481 I went through all this and it worked, but when I rebooted, it will not turn on again. It is stuck showing the apple logo.

it seems that my itouch is version 2.2.1. I know -_-.. so, does this work for me? or do i need to upgrade first? the latest update on itunes is 4.0.2. what do i do?
