Another Homeless Christmas for IDPs

FOUR YEARS AFTER THE POST ELECTION VIOLENCE, THOUSANDS OF INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS HAVE SPENT YET ANOTHER DREARY CHRISTMAS IN SQUALID CAMPS. ANDREW OCHIENG VISITED THE VUMILIA CAMP IN NAIVASHA AS HE SOUGHT TO ANSWER SEVERAL QUESTIONS REGARDING THE PERENNIAL PROBLEM OF IDPS. WILL THE TEETHING PROBLEM OF RESETTLING THEM BE RESOLVED BEFORE THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION, AND WHY DID THE GOVERNMENT OPT TO BUY LAND FOR THOSE WHO DID NOT OWN LAND IN THE FIRST PLACE? HERE IS HIS REPORT.

But these IDPs are better because they own this plot of land. There are others still waiting to be settled.
