Honda replaced my master clutch cylinder however with all other mods it broke the replacement part as well. I ended up using OMNI Power Quicklutch Master Cylinder, which makes a huge improvement.Check Ur VIN's for Recall's if you ever see a string this long with everyone experiencing the same problem or issue. Recommend a street to mild race clutch as well if you drive it like its stolen.

For anyone with an 07-08 Si not sure bout 09 hence mines an 08. The tranny on some VIN's has been recalled due to cheap fluid being used to cut costs on production. Also the clutch master cylinder has been recalled on certain VIN's which is where the squeek in the video comes from. Plastic housing and cheap construction ends up breaking under heavy load or hard driving for prolonged miles. SEE NEXT POST.

Hi, I have a friend thats selling exedy stage 1 clutch but it doesnt have the bearing for it. Can i use my stock clutch bearing for it? for d16 civic
-
white lithium grease on the large springs connecting to the clutch pedal to solve this. Some asshole dealerships are using this to replace master cylinders and such, way uncool. It's just a spring noise. Any civic SI clutch lever squeaking popping is the spring.
-
the the spring off the clutch pedal, lubricate it and that should be it. if the squeaking persists check your master and slave cylinder for corrosion

sounds like you need lubricant but iono just take it to the dealer. what kind of intake is that?

hey i had to drive my si above the steepest hill ever. steep enough that my car was rolling back with the hand break fully up and just my luck it has a stop sign. so i think i used my clutch a lot there and there was a very strong burning smell (clutch smoke?) but after driving for about 30 more min it was fine. i was just wondering that does the lack of smell mean the clutch has cooled down and everythings ok or something might be wrong.
did you find out what was wrong with it? how much was the repair etc?

"Lubricated Slave Cylinder contact point" is what the dealer did. Problem has not resurfaced "YET".
