A lost war? We're leaving as winners, buddy. We successfully installed a fully functional and democratic government that is officially recognized by the UN, and the insurgencies have been suppressed. Whether it will stay that way once we leave is another story, but for now it's a victory.

@Skoole13 No, but I do think that aggressive wars are avoidable and that peace is always preferable to aggressive war. Defensive wars in one's own country are necessary and always justified.

the wars must end. soldiers can not go on fighting wars forever. they are worn out and very fucked up from the violence and stress--hence the suicides...and PTSD. however much the arms manufacturers need the money.
