Mets fan here who was too young to appreciate how great Carter was with the Expos or Mets. Wish Gary and the Expos were both still with us.

The Kid was my dad's idol. Grew up a Bruins fan but he loved the Expos with all his heart. He was so sad to see him go. RIP Gary, thank you for everything for baseball in Montreal.

This commercial is just a winner. It boggles the mind to realize it is already 30 years old.
As a baseball fan in Canada, I always looked forward to Gary coming to the plate.
Christy, my condolensces to you and your family. I lost a family member last year in the very same circumstances.
Your Dad will always be one of my baseball heroes.

He will remain a hero here in Montreal forever. The best catcher and a gentleman.

RIP Gary Carter...But on a slightly related note, it's almost funny to me (but mostly sad) how engrained it is in our culture to consume & advertise carbonated sugar water, especially when promoted by professional athletes who didn't get to where they are by drinking that stuff. When they study our civilization 150 years from now, this is one of the many things people in the future will find absurd about us.
