With her English accent and background, Anderson was mocked and felt out of place in the American Midwest and soon adopted a Midwest one. In addition, she had her nose pierced in the early 1980s and dyed her hair various colors. Her high school classmates voted her as "Most Bizarre," "Class Clown" and "Most Likely to be Arrested." Since then she has appeared in the tv hit series X-Files as well as several movies.

I love Gillian Anderson, she 's awesome! That's so sad about how she was treated in high school! It makes me angry. I bet they are all SO sorry now that she's a well-known actress who makes more money than they can even dream about, the jerks.
