Caucau at his fastest. Rupeni came onto the rugby scene playing sevens for Fiji in 2000, he didn't play every tournament yet made the top try scoring list for the year, his talent was obvious from then. He played his first season of proffessional club rugby for Northland in 2001, alongside fellow Fijians Fero Lasagavibau, Vula Maimuri and Joe Veitayaki. Rupeni scored many tries that year helping Northland have one of their most sucessful NPC seasons that year. Rupeni made his Super Rugby debut for Blues in 2002 playing against the Hurricanes, Rupeni scored 2 tries but left the match early with a leg injury which left him out for the entire season. Rupeni came back later in 2002 to play for Northland after disapearing from Northlands first few matches, something Rupeni has often done through his career. His season started off slow for Northland that year but he began to pick up and start scoring great tries again, unfortunatley most of Rupeni's many NPC tries are not on the internet, as far as i know these two against Southland are the only one's on the net. Hopefull his others will be released.
i remembered he carved up auckland that same year i think aswell.
