I mostly learned by books because the videos used to be pretty bad. If you have a good book you can learn at you own pace, but a good video is clearer in my oppinion. Still it is hard to find a ideo for every model.

I just watched several videos on how to make a crane, and yours is by far the best! There is nothing that we can't follow. Thanks so much. I personally do not find the drawings useful--I didn't even look at them.
