Michael Wilbon: Rush Limbaugh Doesn't Care About Black People

On "Reliable Sources," ESPN's Michael Wilbon backs up his claim that failed Rams owner Rush Limbaugh is a "bigot" and "universally reviled by black people in this country"

"That's no surprise," Wilbon says. "That assessment is a very easy one to make."

Wilbon adds that while he has met Limbaugh in person, "His radio persona," he argues, "that's a different perceiption and I would not back away from that comment at all."

Limbaugh, Wilbon goes on to say, has "insulted black people for years and years and years" on his radio show.

Regarding the unconfirmed quote attributed to Rush that "slavery has its merits," which Rush has refuted, that some media columnists still published: "That's a journalistic no-no," Wilbon says.

I will prove to you how much more morally depraved black people are than whites. Have a black person walk around in a white neighborhood. Will he be robbed or beaten? Will white youth come up to him and taunt him? Will one hair on his head be disturbed in any way whatsoever? Of course not. White culture puts an emphasis on acting decently toward others. This is my problem with black people. They call us racist. The black on white crime rate is 1000 TIMES the white on black crime rate. Blacks youth are rude, mean and cruel toward whites (try being white and walking around the West Side of Chicago.
