Camshaft ?!!! So what There's no way a 415hp ( at the crank ) V8 is going to put out 455hp at the wheels - with a new cam, intake, headers and exhaust no way - not to the wheels it aint 415 crank hp camshaft - couple of hp - if that headers - 10-15hp exhaust-10-15 intake- lucky if you get 5hp add it up - the only way you're gonna get 455hp to the wheels is to supercharge the GXP

@sid203 We've made 490 RWHP with heads, full bolt-on's and larger cam on a manual trans GXP. The LS3 can make over 500 RWHP N/A with the right parts.

It has a camshaft... And did make 455 rwhp. It made 370 rwhp stock

Did you guys dyno tune it? I've heard of up to 50hp gains in just remapping the stock computers alone.

@lcurtizz Yes, it was dyno tuned. We typically see around 25-30 RWHP with the tune alone.

@Graham987654 Sort of correct. It has everything to do with GM as they were the parent company for Pontiac and killed the entire brand when they restructured. Although, recently, three GM Execs are confirmed by Motor Trend that they are bringing it back soon as a Chevy and they had the name for it. So, you were being prophetic in saying that it isn't gone. Haha. Good stuff. What's your feeling on the nameplate they will put it under? Wonder if you can go two for two. =)
