Everyone is talking about the Mayan Prophecies of 2012.
But who is listening to the Maya?

This groundbreaking film brings us the voices of the Mayan people as they share their perspectives on the prophecies of their ancestors and their fight to defend Mother Earth and their culture from destruction.

2012 The Mayan Word is both a message of hope and a call to action. Featuring testimonies from contemporary Mayans throughout Mesoamerica, from spiritual guides to activists, community leaders, farmers, artists, teachers, and children, this film is an extraordinary journey into the heart of Mayan struggle and spirituality.

I'm Mohican and many people thought my people are extinct, but we are alive and well. I am glad to hear from the Mayan people because so many people are out there saying Mayans are extinct too. Which isn't true. And this documentary proves the Mayan people are a strong voice.

exactly with what your saying about how the mayans said it was the end of the world is complete bs. It was the end of the age or era not end of time for good.

I am not Mayan, but I humbly believe in their wisdom and knowledge and am constantly interested to learn more. The Mayans and other MesoAmericans, and native americans and Indian descendants are the real voice of Truth and I am greatful for their presents in our modern times.

The whole 2012 end of the world bull shit was an arrogant joke backed up by ignorance, mostly by the 'white man' which is my race :(

I'm white an American. I tell people. but they just don't seem to get it or care. I see a ring around the sun. no big deal to many. but it maybe a big deal to us all later. who knows. but things were left in concrete to warn us. and nobody listens to any of it. I call that ignorance.

Now go out there & work hard & forget all this.. die like you want to.. in ignorance from any-truth you hear. pay some bills and spread your seed for more to parish. It's JC's way. Maybe you really aren't so smart?

It's unforgivable what happened to the Mayans, and to many cultures around the world in the name of greed, power and controls. One day I hope (and continue to fight) for a better world. The history the Mayans did record (and was lost) is a loss to the entire world, the Mayans and the Indians (and very likely the Iranians also) kept track of the lost history of the world, each kept their own part, keys to a lost past. And they Mayans got mostly destroyed. The world should weep.
