  • Hi there,

I am just getting into the Bob Ross techniques after years of watching him.

Is the canvas coated with the Liquid White before you start the first coat of blue? I am just curious on how to get started?

Also is there a specific type of canvas that is best for this technique?

  • @ChrizRockster yes this one had liquid white over it,any pre streched canvas will do,just that the cheap ones need to be primed twice with white gesso.most decent ones are tripple primed.

    thx mate

  • Hello Micart, What color do you use to paint this picture? Different tones of black? Thank you.
