what was the stuff you were you rubing inside the cylinder, and then you rubbed something on the bolts too. Was that just motor oil?
-
@doobyboy21 Yeah stock cyl, got it from tqsatv.com

@doobyboy21 Stock Bore 102mm
Stock Compression 9.2:1

Is this the stock 11:1 bore piston???
-
This is your stock cylinder right ? Where did you buy this piston ? I know it's JE but what is it's name?? This is the 102mm version ?

Excellent video Max. Found this very imformative. The only thing I would suggest to anyone attempting this same procedure would be to not use the needle nosed pliers to put the wrist clip in. It's possible to distort the clip unless you're really good with the pliers. An easier way is to lay the clip in the groove and use the little opening to get a small screw driver on it and pop it in. Cheers Man.

exactly the same

Does the engine have to be in any special position? IE: TDC, etc... Did you have to do any kind of 'break in' after installing the piston?

@Blackman691 TDC, Yes. I just rode mine like normal, so really no brake in.

Take the timing chain and pull it up and over the tensioner guide and put a rubberband on it to hold it in place. This way you wont have to worry about slippin it through seperately. You can use a 4" hoseclamp to compress the rings so you can just slip the cylinder down and not fight with starting the rings.
