  • This takes me back. I played Boulders to death when I was a teenager. What a talent!

  • A proper Solo album this. Woody at his best!

  • @MrDavros1234 Well thanks for the suggestions.

  • @11xzxzxz What about "Rock Down Low" then?? Have you listened to Dance Round the Maypole by Acid Gallery, an RW song with Roy & Jeff on backing vocals & production. Great stuff - enjoy!!

  • It would be nice if he had gotten bigger in the U.S.

Maybe then he would come here a bit.

  • @spacepatrolman Exactly good point.

  • @11xzxzxz this song sounds like he is trying to sound like eric clapton

  • @ecksact Just watched the Husky effort - yeah, very Euro-pop! It works as that. But you're right, it wouldn't have done Roy's credibility much good! Not that he needed anything extra to dent his credibility! Might have made him a few ££'s mind you....

  • Splendid! I love those little voices singing along.

  • Roy Wood was some kind of genius not really found in this song though a good song. The Move was his band and these are some of his best: Blackberry Way (satire of Penny Lane by the Beatles)

Tonight (I'll be over tonight . if you think you MIGHT!) Chinatown (amazing song)

The Last thing on my Mind

    Hello Suzie

This Moment on .. and more and more.

  • Awesome. Very.

  • @ecksact Eric Claton should have [ maybee he still should record it ] You know it sounds like something from his gospel period [ presence of the lord ] .

  • IMO My friend and me are big Move and Roy fans but honestly, I have to be if anyone knows me; this is the only really good song on Boulders. Please don't hassle me cause my friend is never wrong ! Great, now just write him not me.

  • As most fans may know, this was entered as a Eurovision contender to be sung by the New Seekers (who murdered it!) . I just discovered a (mimed) version by a German band called Husky on You Tube. Just shows the Euros would've liked it and it might have won for the UK! Not sure it would have done Roy's stock much good but..... The New Seekers? I ask you!

  • Eddy And The Falcons!!!

  • The Man.

  • Gibt es eigendlich etwas was Woody nicht kann? Der Song ist SUPER.

  • Great Roy Wood fan as I am, I can't get the connection between this song & Abba's Waterloo, sorry ! Someome did point out the similarity between See My Baby Jive and Sugar Baby Love by the Rubettes though, which I can identify now but never noticed until recently. Just depends how you orchestrate a melody I suppose !

  • Hallelujah! this is about the only "Gospel" song that I can stomach! I've been searching far and wide for it for years now! Roy Wood don't shove his religion or dogma down your throat, He just gets in the groove to get me in the mood to chant the Holy Names!

  • Awesome!

  • I'm just having fun. I like Roy.

  • budgetary constraints. he didn't have your contact info to ask you to do it.

  • Drew himself? What a snob...

  • Bless you for posting this---been wanting to hear it forever. YAH!
