Lose Yourself vs Couch Potato.

Eminem, Marshall Mathers, The Hypocrite.

He will talk about freedom of speech and freedom of expression.

He will make a video parody of Michael Jackson, MC Hammer, and Madonna without permission...

But he won't allow it if it's about him... saying 'no' to Weird Al's request to do a Video to 'Couch Potato'.

Well done Mathers, you hypocrite.

  • Look, where's Al in the top 40 chart? Has he ever been in the top 40 chart? NO. Eminem has not only been in the top 40 chart multiple times, but his song "Stan" is the 13th best song of the decade. All Wierd Al is is a Minor Celebrity. Eminem is a worldwide celebrity. I'm not saying Al is bad, he's awesome, but guys, Al will never reach the level Eminem already has. Oh yeah, and I haven't mentioned that Eminem is also 3rd best Pop artist? It's like saying Portsmouth is better than Man United.

  • Howdy Matt. Firstly, Weird Al is a parody artist not someone who is going to be in the top 40 charts. That being said, even though he is a parody artist, he has won awards for it. Next up, Weird Al is indeed known world wide. Lastly, this video is more about Eminem the hypocrite than who is in or has been in the top 40 charts more (which wasn't touched upon at all in your comment).

  • Yep, I agree, totally. I only posted it because I saw all of those comments saying that Weird Al is better. I don't think he is in my opinion, obviously, LOL. I know the video wasn't about the Top 40 or anything, I was just responding to the comments below using evidence to support my opinion.

  • Understood. At least you didn't do what the last guy did and ask where is Weird Al now compared to Eminem.

  • As for Weird Al, I personally think he can be very clever and funny with his parodies, but sometimes he can be very lazy with them. Such as Couch Potatoe, I find this parody to be quite lazy compared to some of his other parodies. Though I am not a fan of the rap music, Em can be clever with is words, but isn't always. Lately, one parody artist who I think is starting to top Weird Al is one I found on YouTube, James@War.

  • I'm glad we understand each other. This happens very rarely, LOL. I hate people who don't think before posting a comment, they might as well not type anything if they don't have any evidence to support it. And I highly agree with the latest comment you posted. They're both good, and they can both be lazy. On the other hand, all singers have flaws.

  • /agree. Personally I think had Em agreed to Al's request, we not only may have had a better parody from Al, but Em could have had a cameo in it. Had it had gone this way, it would have boosted him up as he would be standing behind his own words of freedom of speech and getting more exposure to another group of followers, the Al mob. But alas, he chose a different path. Perhaps regrets the decision now, who knows. What's done is done.

  • it was a tie their both awsome

  • I don't care what anyone says really. In my opinion eminem is still a tool. I read comments about how great eminem is all the time but why is everybody giving that guy more credit than he deserves? He just uses his music to tell everyone how sad his life is and how much sadder he seems to get every year. Pretty soon his kid is gonna have to hide the razor blades.

  • Since his first-aired comedy song in 1976, he had sold more than 12 million albums (as of 2007), recorded more than 150 parody and original songs, and has performed more than 1,000 live shows. His works have earned him three Grammy Awards among nine nominations, four gold records, and six platinum records in the United States. Yankovic's first top ten Billboard album (Straight Outta Lynwood) and single ("White & Nerdy") were both released in 2006, nearly three decades into his career.

  • @2824matt Al has been in the top 40 charts multiple times -- "Eat it", "Smells Like Nirvana," and "White and Nerdy" were all in the Top 40. He's had over 16 songs place on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and his 2006 single for "White & Nerdy was a Top 10 hit in the US. His career has spanned over 35 years, he's sold more than 12 million albums; earning three Grammy Awards among nine nominations, four gold records, and six platinum records in the United States alone.

  • my opinion i think weird als version is better

  • haha weird als is better

  • @2824matt Hmm Weird al has 3 top 40s in US look it up, and a platinum single for fuck sakes, and a number 1 SINGLE in austrailia, so Al is consider international celebrity. Al been so long with us now artist wish they were him has the success that weird al has, he has 12 albums out 13th on the way. Even Snoop Dogg consider Al his uncle, hes a rap legend too. Most people would kill to have the longevity as Weird Al.

  • @Md2oo3 BTW, did I tell you? Nice vid.

  • Haha, Eminem sucked since he made fun of MJ's accident when his hair caught on fire...its digusting, so what you so sensitive about? If he can go that far immorally far, al yankovic can also make some fun.
