This is a great clip of Les and band (bassist Curtis Robinson, Jr., saxophonist Bobby Bryant, Jr. and drummer Ralph Penland) doing his seminal hit "Compared To What?" on the sunniest of days in Gresham, OR.
The clip originally was a part of a program called "Entertainment Seen" produced by Alan Alexander III
in the local Portland area by Multnomah Cable Access.
That brings back alot of memories! Thanks for the post Soluboi. Ralph Penland added another dimension to the band. I had been working in L.A. with Billy Mitchell and Ralph was on the gig. When Tony St. James left to work with Maze I recommended Ralph. He was great.
Les is gigging doing his thing.
