He should have read it before signing it. Being a Lawyer he should have known it was unconstitutional. There is no excuse

Agreed, but you have to remember that this was 1996, more than 15 years ago and the whole perspective on this issue has changed dramatically since then, particularly in the last 18 months. I don't truly fault Clinton for siding with the overwhelming tide of opposition against SSM in 1996, but I am disappointed that in light of the huge progress our country has made on this issue, that he has not done more to speak out to correct the injustice of his previous decision.

That's why I don't understand why some people rage about bill cliton. He fixed our budget at the cost of throwing the LGBTQ community under the bus, and driving it over us HIMSELF.
