  • Plastic bag caught fire... you sound like wankers to me. Launching a burning object is going to get you in deep shit

  • Thanks man I guess that answers that question I dont know why we didnt think of that earlier. Considering that most household garbage bags combust instantly & violently, with an intense blue flash capable of lighting up the night sky. You have been so helpful, serve & protect huh? Thanks again, no realy thanks... heaps.

  • ALSO: Speaking just as the guy who owns the computer & not as one of those involved, dont worry about the dikeds in the car look at the sky. The baloon keeps going after the flash and if you slow it down the flash seems to approach from a distance.

  • No rockets attached! Do we sound like it was a planned setup? we all spent weeks trippin out about it. A decent explination would put my mind at ease, not a suggestion that it is a hoax.

  • Looks to me like you guys put a rocket in it.

  • Your guess realy is as good as ours, A home made hot air baloon is a jiffy fire lighter cube attached to a household garbage bag in a small cradle of foil so it dosnt burn the string it is unabe to support anymore weigth other than that of the foil and cube. Other than that, it looks to me like it approaces from a distance?

  • it was scotchys mum letting off gas coming bak from uranus or mabey one of them giant pots i mighta glazed!!!!!!!!!

  • well woopty do blogghead

  • That definitely looks like a meteor. It brightens as it descends, and like has been said, it looks like a "headshot" - the camera was in its path.

  • Obviously whoever it was didn't want your hot air baloon up there.

  • OMG that is so fucking KOOL!!-I have no idea what it is but man u guys r lucky 2 have caught it on video.Nice balloon btw

  • Playing with home-made hot-air balloons and you caught a nice shot of a meteor, looked decent size, you should have went to the area with a metal detector, if you was lucky enough to find the remains its worth some bucks! Saw a guy sell a meteor he found with a metal detector and bought a new corvette with the cash!

  • At least you have a genuine film, which is fantastic, also i believe you might be the only one that has a recorded headshot in the world, contact your planetarian to give them that info.

  • Your mates was just excited.Just by coincidence as you had your air ballon in the air a meteor came down and as it hit the atmosphere it caused it to flash like that, must of been a big one,, normally you see some kind of tail, the reason why you didn't see a tail is because the way the meteor came down you had a head shot of it as it hit our atmosphere. Yes it came from above.Hope i have been of some help.
