A Swedish inventor has now developed a system to transport trucks by rail, which can reduce the number of these vehicles on our roads. This combination of truck and train has the potential to very soon emerge as the optimal transport solution for the economy, society and the environment. On average, a trucker drives his vehicle a distance equivalent to twice around the world per year. In so doing, his vehicle produces some 80 tonnes of carbon dioxide. The Swedish Energy Agency is a public authority responsible for financing young growing companies within the clean tech energy field. Flexiwaggon is a good example of a company that would not have come so far without the support of the Swedish energy agency.
