I want to learn thai alphabet. but it's really difficult. The alphabet looks all the same.

Well, it's nothing lol!
Actually, in the original Thai book, the oldmans taught us the Thai letters by creating series of "easily remember-able" names (Chicken, Egg, Buffalo, Person etc.) so that we can remember the 'orders' of these alphabets correctly.
Therefore, Thai people always call "ก" as "Kaw Kai" (which means Chicken, following the teachings)
It's the way Thai people used to study.

The real question is there was really the need to use 4-5 letters for the same freaking sound?...lol

@ilkinond The first word spoken on each page is the name of the letter. You'll notice that the name of every letter rhymes with raw. But none of them sound like that when spoken. The second word (or words) shows you what the letter sounds like when spoken in a real Thai word. It's a kind of mnemonic (memorization technique), I think. So, for example, the first letter, named gkaw, sounds like gk in the Thai word for chicken, which is gkai. (The sound is between a g and a k.)

@ilkinond its a tonal language

@jdh501 because aw-aang has just one sound.when you say it, you don't have to pronounce the final consonant in those english words.it is like karaoke :D you just say like how the video says and when you type in karaoke word -aw and -or is the same sound.
sorry for my bad english :)
