Edie's Mac Trip

My Mac is a Miracle.

I adore my laptop. She is a 12 inch Macintosh Titanium g4 power book. They don't make them anymore which means I hope she lasts forever.

It looks like she might have a chance.
For she is a miracle...at least in my life.

I bought my first personal laptop 5 years ago, even though our business, Edie Hats, has been run by my husband and a fleet of Macintosh's for many many years.

I am someone who interacts with the world unconventionally. I don't read in a "normal" way for example...

My ideas come out in ways that a Mac is receptive to. Communication of every possible kind is a constant and consuming activity of mine. Some people (who aren't Mac users) don't understand that Macintosh's
are more "intuitive" than other computers...making it possible for people
who may have alternative ways of thinking and doing things, achieve the unbelievable.

In the book "In the Minds Eye", Thomas West furthers his groundbreaking research on how some innovations in computer visualization are making work and education more favourable to visual thinkers. West cites research that shows a link between visual aptitude and verbal challenges, and believes
that new developments in computer technology herald a significant shift toward the increased use of visual approaches throughout the economy. For`example, a person like me, who was considered scattered and simply dyslexic,is now often described as visionary in business. My laptop acts as a conductor for my ideas. It is the interface. Where would Stephen Hawking's
ideas be without his speech synthesizer?
