@dumbass1984 .... all of that was really unnecessary....

we are, the but reason we cant that quickly is as follows:
$6 billion - amount from Obama stimulus plan the goes to transit
$150 billion - amount that goes to highways
$2.14 billion - cost of Link (caused lots of complaints)
$4 billion - cost of viaduct tunnel (one 15th the length, 13rd the capacity, little to no complaints about cost)
-
If the fare checkers catch you, it's a fine of $124. They do random checks.

it is fucking awesome. and you can get away with riding free...

I agree. I'm so happy that this is really being used! Definitely when the UW and Airport get hooked up, it'll be obvious to the naysayers that this was a long time coming!
Do they run extra trains after games? Because according to what I've read peak frequency is only supposed to be one train every 7.5 minutes on the line for now.
It's a shame they don't run 3 minutes regularly. Vancouver's new downtown to airport rail, which also just opened less than a year ago, runs every 3 minutes from morning rush throughout midday to the end of evening rush between Waterfront Station and the south end of the city. Each of the two "legs" has 1 every 6 minutes.

@theraptorfan100 Yes, they run extra trains if needed.

And, is there only ONE track in this tunnel? So trains are only going one direction? Or is there one on the other side??

Yes, the other track is on the other side. There are two tunnels, one for each direction. The elevator bank is between the two.
