  • This has got to be my favorite technique . I dont care how many times I watch it, it's still my favorite!!!!!

  • what exactly is this takedown called? it looks like aikido but the video doesnt really show clearly the steps hes taking to make that throw happen, so i wanted to see if i could find a different video of the same technique? thanks

  • I'll ask sensei to do this again as I didnt understand my camera fully when I made this video. We will try to get some clarity for you on this.

  • awesome throw, but i dont understand how your able to control their entire body with only arm control?

is there some kind of tripping done or some specific weight distribution going on that im not able to see from the real-time speed demonstration of the throw?

aikido has some very awesome throws.

  • I am posting a video in response to your question it should be available in a few minutes.

  • @weloveyoudimebag what you're probably not noticing is him taking the opponents balance at the initial interception of the attack. lean backwards on one foot and have somebody tap you, this is what aikido capitalizes on

  • thank you very much, thatll be so helpful.

this is my new account for martial arts by the way (weloveyoudimebag's new one)

  • I think that it is not a true throw, as much as it is a lock. Uke has landed on his back out of defense. My experience has been with those that don't go over in this throw/lock if you sweep or lock the leg they land on their side and dislocate the shoulder. (Modified Shiho Nage)

  • Excellent technique. I've trained in Aikijujitsu for 10 years, and it's a pleasure to see such a relaxed and able teacher at work. I'd love to have the opportunity to get some instruction from Professor Shabazz. Thanks for posting all your videos.

  • So true Prof Shabazz, after that type of throw there is NO RECOVERY from the concrete.
