@writersblock26 Because of that irreducable [sic] complexity nonsense.

@TONyjustRoCks It's very probable that morality has a evolutionary advantage, thus it would have evolved. However the negative acts that people do will also have been adaptive in our evolutionary past. Therefore, other factors can cause these behaviours to become more prominent in an individual (e.g. low social economic status or conforming to authority). I know your comment is old but I thought I might be able to help answer your question.

Htichens is frustrating Turek by avoiding his questions, it's obvious that he (Hitchens) has no answers in Atheism to these points.
-
@kmcc2576 Yeah, that is a bit annoying, especially because he comes across as a whiny brat when he does so.
-
@poboxpatwu He's called Richard Dawkins and does a pretty good job. But some people just choose not to listen. Watch his discussion with Wendy Wright and you'll see what I mean.

Turek shouldn't be involved in a public debate. He agrees to debate someone then becomes visibly upset when they disagree with him.
Atheists FTW!!

Isn't it obvious; morality is a biological imperative for a social species, a product of evolution. All social animals have behavioral codes.
Also, the question of wether it's carbon or some other element is inane. Thoughts are emergent products of nerve cells in the brain. They are chemical and electrical, and involve multiple cells, all of which consist of many many individual elements and molecules. Turek's challenges are pathetic.
