i own this kit and i love it. i play alot of rock/fusion/gospel on it and it really holds its own. how do you have the kick tuned? im not quite getting the punch out of it that youre getting
-
Yeah, man. That Cat Jazz sounds pretty good. You've got some George Hurley chops! I don't get all the comments about playing rock on a jazz kit. What about guitar players that use Fender Jazzmasters to rock out? Or upright bass for rockabilly? Break that kit!
-
yo, u gonna end up breaking it if u play like that, use the 22" bass drum set behind yo for the bashing, this is a fine drum for even finer music. i have the same model also a pearl kit for rock or more open places where you requiere that "boom", catalina jazz is for clubs or small places definitly not for punk , metal. that way it'll last longer, think about it, hope it helps.

what heads are you using on all the drums the jazz kit has a nice rock sound
-
this was like drawing a moustache on the mona lisa, it was funny and kinda cool and you've made a lot of people mad for slaughtering a great kit. keep playing that shit.
-
hey dude. do you know how to keep a beat? cause this sounds like wank.
-
Its definitely and 18", one of Gretches most common 4 piece kits.
-
