@recniabsal So you started off saying the entire midwest is ALL MUSCLE, and that shrunk down to detroit only. Your a tool. Did you know "fucking european supercars" are imports too?
-
@stuperstar81 trust ME i own a Ford Taurus and hybrids are really neat. so are dodge caravans...
-
@ephidapoon Most car shows on the speed channel that aren't Nascar, Indianapolis, and so on are muscle and fucking european supercars. I see imports from Japan here and there but not often. And I watch speed channel very regularly myself. Maybe I had Texas wrong, who gives a fucking shit? Big deal. Don't even tell me its not all muscle in Detroit though cause they have the Detroit diesel and Chrysler factory.
-
@ephidapoon. Read the comment I. Clearly said 280hp which means r34 and below. The new vr38dett is nothing more than a 2010 vg30dett Plenum design manifolds dual throttle bodies. _
-
@DVcustomZ GTR as in the 480 hp nissan GTR? or another engine?
-
@recniabsal "if you go to the mideast or Detroit or Texas its ALL muscle and no import" Whatever dude in Houston, Dallas, and Austin the import scene is bigger than the muscle scene. You don't know what your talking about. And I watch F1, Lemans, and Indycars on speed channel ... very regularly.
-
@broskimandood "Hemi" doesnt mean any engine with hemispherical heads. It means a chrystler engine. You dont point at honda and refer to it's engine as a hemi. Its common sense that someone who says Hemi is talking about a chrystler engine.

@hotshot677 so even though the new Z's are in a similar price range, people are spending so much more on cars that you see a huge array of people getting Zs (350 and 370), boys, girls, men, women (some really old women). It's just a different time now and it's a different market. The 300zx snuck by in the 90s without being "normalized" like the 350z did and it remains to be driven by dudes and enthusiasts. It's remained "hard" in a way, like the supra. Just my theory.
-
@hotshot677 Ive got a theory why it isn't hated on, and I think it's mainly its buyers base. Back in the mid nineties it wasn't common to spend more than 20% of your income on a car. The 300zx was very pricey new, in the mid thirties, meaning it wasn't sold to death to every kid, and you really didn't see a lot of girls in them. It was more popular with enthusiasts, mostly men, like the supra. Now people spend more than 25% of their income on a car.
i have a 300ZXTT. trust me, the best imports for their price in the world are supras skylines 300ZXTTs and RX7's. best competition between them too. i call it the 90's TT class.

well even though i love my 91 TT. i can actually say something bad about it. Nissan over engineered it!... its such a bitch to wrk on it.
