And some deaf people may be embarassed to use their voice because they cannot hear it properly themmselves and maybe fear that people will laugh at them and think they're retarded. Yes people are that stupid. Assuming that a person is retarded just cause they talk funny. I know someone's gonna comment back on this, but please.. These are just my oppinions and experiences. I'm not saying this is how i tis, I'm just saying, here's what I think.
Deaf people don't wear h.aids if it doesn't help them.Just cause they cant interpret words and understand what you say doesn't mean they can't hear. A hearing aid or a Cochlea Implant will never make a deaf person into a hearing person. It may help alot, but SL will always be useful, and some find it easier to communicate in sign language even if they can hear with a h. aid or a CI
if a person wears a hearing aid to hear, how come the person is doing sign language and its classed as a deaf person. deaf means cannot hear.a lot of deaf people wear hearing aids and still cannot hear. why bother wear hearing aids. when deaf people sign, they say the words but they don't use their voice as well. is this true?

He uses his voice in daily life and needs to read lips to "hear", but because he's used to my voice he can hear what I say to him if I speak clearly. But we have lots of friends who are deaf and we bot use SL in that setting. cont...

(cont.) First one, Moderation: Should Deaf UK should be moderated or not to be moderated? Second one, Banned members Alison, Jen, Joseph and Tony should all be reinstated as Deaf UK members. If the moderator feels suspicious and doesn't want them to return, then he should provide a full explanation why the ban on them should remain. At least this would allow all members to
