  • Dear Truecript, your performance is at top level and you obviously are a high level pianist. I'd like to ask a few questions about this outstanding interpretation: I hear an interesting use of the middle pedal, is that correct? Also, in the coda the famous leaps of the left hand to me they sound as if they do not match the correspondant notes of the right hand as written by FC; is it so, or it's just an impression caused by the rubato u perform in the first leaps? An admiror.

  • @voolare

    Thank you!;)

No, I didn't use middle pedal... probably it is an acoustic effect...

As for "jumps" in LH (coda) - at this speed (and I probably played too fast) precise matching would sound unnaturally. I don't do it intentionally and don't even know how to explain these things. It just happens... ;)

  • Maestro Truescrypt, you are too good to be true ; first you,ve treated us to many , many hard to obtain uploads, for millions of listeners of good music to enjoy.

And now you turn out to be an excellent professional performer as well !

Perhaps you´re like Shakespear, more than one individual, or the man -on -the moon landing that never occurred. Seriously how do you find the time to practice & rehearse and then spend so much time on YT ????

  • @bonsema1

Thank you, bonsema1, you are too kind...

To say the truth I spend much more time at my computer than at the piano! ;)

  • You play with great spirit Truecrypt!

  • PART THREE: You are a wonderful artist --- particularly in Chopin and Liszt. Why the world has not recognized you and brought you the success you deserve I can't imagine.

I thank you too for all the great contributions you've generously shared here. I've been listening intently for many months, and finally started posting just a few days ago.

  • As well as having a great selection of uploads of the great pianists, you are also a wonderful pianist yourself! Thank you for sharing your playing with us. :)

  • Just discovering your playing for the first time....Wunderbar!! It is first rate. You play with an incredible sweep and vision. I do trust that this isn't a ruse in the vein of Joyce Hatto. Anyhow, I like the mystery and I look forward to hearing more.

  • Truecrypt...You may well be the greatest pianistic enigma of modern times. A few people pointing out minor mistakes have missed the point, of course... they are the reason that modern piano performance has become the turgid, lifeless, dying art that it is today. The true greats all made the odd mistake, and we are much worse for their absence. Anyway, that's a moot point - your touch, colouring, understanding and spirit are superb, and those things cannot be taught in any snotty conservatoire.

  • sensationell!!! Danke!!!

  • You should be touring the United States. We need more high quality performances in the colonies. :)

  • So fierce! It brings great sadness to me that you do not have more popularity. I wonder why a career as a concert pianist did not work out?

  • Full of soul and fire. Truly one of the best interpretations bar none
