  • The apple usb cables are wired in a specific way that makes it difficult to use 3rd party charging solutions. Either that is your problem or the solar device simply doesnt have enough current to charge your idevice. They require 500mah of current to charge. The output on your charging device must match the specs for your device. In the case of the ipod touch 500mah will work fine. Same goes for the iphone but ideally you would want 1000mah like the wall adapter outputs.

  • Not powerful enough (Not designed for iPod)

    or Bad cable :)

  • Maybe it's a voltage problem. The solar charges the other portable, but the portable already has power inside.

  • remove the dam screen protector then it well work

  • the reason is, there are 4 wires in a USB cable. 2 for power (+ & -), 2 for data. Apple designed their iphones and itouches to require a signal through data wires to tell the phone to allow charging. Basically requiring you to connect it to a computer or an official Apple charger. My advice: take all of your iproducts and throw them as far as you can, walk away, and buy open source hardware/software like Android devices and other things which use linux. Then your cool solar charger will work.

  • i think the ipod needs a specific voltage and the solar panel does not give a constant voltage, u need 5volts the solar panel gives of more

  • haha. you charged a solar charger with a solar charger.... haha.. make me laugh..

  • There's a lot of cheap POS coming out of China like this. I got scammed with a folding solar charger that supposedly had a built in batt. You could leave it out to charge the batt, then let the batt charge a phone. It never worked. Likewise, I got a battery maintainer panel, and IT doesn't work either...hooking up to volt meters and such show they just don't work. Not sure if it's the way they solder these together or what. I'd avoid all of the made-in-china junk.

  • take the wrap on the screen
