Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald welcomes you to Filming Day for "Life In A Day:" a historic global experiment to create a user-generated documentary film shot in a single day.
On July 24, you have 24 hours to capture a glimpse of your life on camera. The most compelling and distinctive footage will be edited into an experimental documentary film, executive produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Kevin.

  • @waaarta "above all"

  • what does he say in 0:42 "and remember ba....(what?)"

  • Film-"making", my rear-end. I've said this about this "project" from the very beginning, those comments being very well documented on YouTube. "Film clip" cutting and pasting is the equivalent of "video sausage" making, and not film making . It's only the assembler's (better known as the film editors, had this

  • been a real work of cinematic art created by one, two, or at most a few individuals) job in this case to *create* (i.e. or misinterpret, knowingly and willfully or not ) any p.o.v. that alleges to provide any context to the film, which by it's very nature can only end up being those of 1) the sponsors, and 2) the "executive producers" . At best, no matter how easily any "reviewer" can be suckered into a "hypnotic ride",

  • completely devoid of the impossible to assume original meaning of the context that THE ORIGINAL AUTHORS of the video material submitted had in mind, in the final analysis this "project" can only be viewed as an exercise in incredibly egotistical chest-thumping, resume padding for clips compilation being wildly confused with "film-making", and a vehicle to sell the corporate sponsors wares,

  • in this case washers and dryers, refrigerators, and HDTV's. Leaving the real exercises in "time capsule" creation to the more traditional bunch of elementary school children w/ hopefully more differing views of the collection of items to be included in a "snapshot of the day" and interpreted many years, decades, or even centuries later by a wider, more culturally and politically diverse group than the

  • left-wing Hollywood film cabal, makes a much better and easily defensible framing for discussions of concerns of the day. "Digging up" and "-ooooing" and "-ahhhhing" at this faux-historical "snapshot for profit" at some cockamamie "film festival" only six months later after it was "collected and buried", calls into question not only ethics, but sanity as well.

  • um i have a dick in my pocket.

  • doro to to tu Im loving it

  • @deZazi Look, you're OBVIOUSLY tweaked about anyone having a contrary opinion. Once a month you do a faux-"intelligentsia" cheap shot hit job on anyone w/ a differing opinion. PLEASE just "become part of something bigger than yourself"! PLEASE just let the warm feeling of satisfaction wash over you as your name flies by in a 3 pt. type blur @ the end of the "movie"! You've convinced ALL you'll let others turn your work into their cash. Doesn't change the obvious scam profit motives one iota.
