Adela, a former radio personality, celebrates her 80th birthday in the slums of Manila. Alone and without support, she longs for the family and stability of years gone by. Mundane events take on a heightened meaning as Adela gauges her life against those of the sea of humanity.

Once a great actress will forever be a great actress. Ms Anita Linda...she lives her craft. She's like vintage wine. The years made her better. The younger crop of "stars" should watch this movie. They have a lot to learn from this excellent artist.

I am also wishing for a Nora Aunor-Anita Linda movie. Their "Bakit Bughaw ang Langit?" showcased their acting prowess. Anita should have won at least one award for it. Noranians should also thank her for her nice words about Nora when she guested in Boy Abunda's now-defunct "Inside the Cinema."

Kudos, Adolfo Alix Jr. and Bicyclepix for creating a great movie. Ms. Anita Linda should be given a grand slam win for this one. I hope that you'll do more movies that would be classic someday. a movie for anita linda and nora aunor will be a great one.
