This is my 1967/68 Silverface Dripedge Blackline Bassman.

Fender Dripedge Silverface amps with the black vertical lines on the face plate were the first of the Silverfaces, transitioning from the Blackfaces. They began shipping in mid-spring of 1967. The tray codes are from May, September, and October of 67. It's an AB165 circuit with some modifications to the phase inverter and bias circuit to "Blackface" it a little.

For this demo I used my Gretsch 6120RHH and my '65 Harmony Rocket. For effects I just had a Boss DM-3 for slapback and a Nocturne Dyno Brain.

  • @snooblegooch You got a bassman for 25 dollers WTF when 1970

  • Great sound and great playing man !!

  • holy cow! i think we might be the exact same person! I like your playing, guitars (especially the harmony) music taste, slapback, and style! If i may brag a bit, i got my '67 bassman off craigslist for $25 and in a seperate transaction a 2x12 vintage fender cab for $45. It needed some work but i couldnt be happier with it! bassmans (bassmen?) rule for blues/country/rockabilly. When i die, i hope there's a hollowbody plugged into a bassman waitin for me in heaven.

  • She' a babe!, I have one too with 2x15 closed back JBL cab!
