Listen to GLIDE's Founders, Cecil Williams and Janice Mirikitani, as they reflect on the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his words,"Some of us who have already begun to break the silence of the night have found that the calling to speak is often a vocation of agony, but we must speak. We must speak with all the humility that is appropriate to our limited vision, but we must speak." Quote is an excerpt from Dr. King's speech, "Beyond Vietnam", at Riverside Church in New York City on April 4, 1967.

For the past four decades, Rev. Cecil Williams and Janice Mirikitani have empowered people, who have been silent and invisible, to find their voice and transform their lives. They reflect on the question, "what ignites you as a situation unfolds, and then you feel and think, 'We must speak..,' and then move us (as a community) towards action and impact social change?"
