Today as I walked down the street I saw two new and odd things. Well, at least they were odd to me. I don't know what you'll think about them! What would you think about seeing a vending machine that dispenses large bags of rice as well as a battery vending machine?

  • Good question. Not sure! I don't think so though.

  • 300円 for two batteries

    290円 for four batteries

    ...

    ..

    .

WHAT?! Are people paying MORE for the "convenience" of a "handy" smaller pack of batteries or something? :)

  • I'm assuming the 290 pack were a cheaper...crappier brand of battery. That's all I can think of!

  • Hey Kevin another great video! Get really deep into the vending machine deal show the people the dark and dirty side of Japanese vending machines,, The grown up stuff ! haha

  • ah.....the porno and used pantie machines!!!??? I've heard of them, but have never actually seen one.

  • Kevin you need to buy some of that rice.

  • yeah.....but then I'd have to carry a 10kg bag around with me!i get mine delivered to my house :)

  • K.G bag hahaha

  • Would there be a vending machine in Japan that sells magazines?

  • i want coold stuff like that in america how much does that transfer to USD$

  • Dunno if you noticed this, but there are only 3 different kinds of rice. the 2,500 円 bag is the same as the 5,000 円 bag, it's just twice as big, hence the 5kg and the 10kg.

  • my mum does..........yep,i know.

  • In what area was this filmed? The only time I ever saw rice vending machines in Japan was out in the boonies.

And the battery vending machines were always old and seemingly broken down.

  • hey how much is 5000 yen in us currency? please right back asap and i would like to know if you had a aim s/n or a instant messgenger so i can ask about prices so i could hopefully visit their next year

  • 300yen batteries = Alkal battery(good power output)

    290yen batteries = manganese battery

  • Do people recycle batteries there?
