This is an excellent way to implement your suspension trainer with barbell work. The bulgarian split squat is a classic exercise with a few advantages compared to the traditional Squat:
1. Unilateral
2. Allows hip dissociation
3. Builds stability in an obvious sport specific pattern
4. Decreases the compression of the spine (compared to bilateral squats)
So this exercise is traditionally done with a box or a bench behind, some people like it with the bosu. For me, I never before found a comfortable way for my rear elevated foot, but when I realized that I could use the Suspension Trainer (aka TRX) so that my rear leg could flare out, I really started to enjoy this sucker again.
