Uffizi Virtuale Exhibition

The "Uffizi virtuale" exhibition is the first exhibition in the world showing a virtual tour through the entire collection of the Uffizi Gallery: more than 1150 high resolution images.

Nine multimedia installations, each with large format touch screen interfaces, will be presenting one masterpiece after another. By touching the screen, visitors will be able to examine every particular and zoom in to see the most hidden detail up to the point of perceiving the artist's brush strokes, be it Botticelli or Caravaggio, Titian or Leonardo.

This project is a partnership between Centrica, the "Toscana Promozione" agency, the Special Superintendency for Historical, Artistic and Ethno-anthropological Heritage and for the Polo Museale of Florence and the Shanghai Art Museum.
