TORTA INGLESA DE RINS

A especialidade da casa são tortas assadas à moda inglesa. As receitas foram trazidas pelo chef inglês Ryk Preen, que cuida da cozinha enquanto sua mulher, a brasileira Ana Claudia Laforga, administra o pequeno salão. Os sabores são bem diferentes do convencional a que estamos acostumados. Um dos carros-chefes é a steak & stout pie, recheada com carne cozida em cerveja preta. Também tem uma versão com carne de porco moída e tomilho, a pork pie, e outra de frango assado e cogumelos, batizada de roast chicken & mushroom pie. A lista ainda inclui algumas quiches, pastelões assados e sobremesas interessantes - o panettone bread & butter pudding (pudim de panetone e manteiga) chega quente à mesa, dentro de um potinho de suflê. Para beber, boa seleção de cervejas nacionais e importadas e o refrigerante Itubaína, guaraná aromatizado com tutti-frutti.
The specialty of the house are baked pies to British fashion. Huuummm!....Conheci a Ana e o Rick através do trabalho e estive lá pela primeira vez para experimentar essas "famosas tortas" há 1 mês!...Se eu tivesse comido a torta antes, não teria me mudado pra Sorocaba nunca! Pena que agora não dá mais tempo!
