I am a huge fan of Marilyn...HUGE! You should do your research. It is well-documented that Marilyn had a little bit of a nose job. Plastic surgery definitely WAS "invented" when she was living. It doesn't mean she was a dumb blond. There's no use arguing with you, really, because the facts are the facts...it takes nothing away from Marilyn, who will remain forever an ICON for the ages. Nose job or not, Marilyn DID invent herself & we thank you, Marilyn! R.I.P Warmly, Red

BTW. Plastic surgery was known and practice long before. Look on even earlier holywood stars like Rita Heyworth. The only 2 stars that really never have done it are: Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly. And Audrey really believed that she should not do it not because she liked her beauty but because she did not want to be vain.

Marilyn Monroe was genuine, she had no surgery done...... plastic surgery wasn't invented. Only a truly remarkable woman could go through what she did as Norma Jeane and still be as happy as she appeared to be.... Marilyn Monroe was not a "dumb blonde".

"None of the objects of the humanitarians' tender solicitude, the juvenile delinquents, could have had so sordid and horrifying a childhood as did Marilyn Monroe.

To survive it and to preserve the kind of spirit she projected on the screen--the radiantly benevolent sense of life, which cannot be faked--was an almost inconceivable psychological achievement that required a heroism of the highest order. Whatever scars her past had left were insignificant by comparison."

she was perfect in both beauty and body, and she was totally real. There was no plastic surgery in the 50's
