a metronome usually helps them keep correct timing ..as far as i know the only organist who dosent use one is p.kelsall ..(thats what i been told) cant be easy !!

Hello starman.. yeah curiosity got the better of me about those keys so i asked graeme scarlett on msn.. heres what he said...
It is to switch in the setter for changing stops, without switching in the stops are set and cant be changed. now we know .. cheers !!

Yes --it is-- the dancers demand that the tempo is is kept to the correct beat for the particular dance being played.
