This just goes to show imperial guard are tougher. these guys are given combat armor, the best guns in the galaxy, and amazing training. Guardsmen are given a flashlight, two large sholder plates, a hat, and basic training. Yet guardsmen still get the job done.

@OtherSideOfArgument Say that to the astral knights chapter that gave their lives to destroy the necron world engine when they fought to the last man in the face of impossible odds even for a space marine. Not doggin the guard cause i do like them but they dont fight against the same odds Rines do.

@OtherSideOfArgument But you also have to realize that space marines are few compared to the never ending hordes of imperial guard so you cant even compare two a space marine would shit on 30 guardsmen in the fluff no problem but imperial guard are attrition fighters where Rines are spear tip fighters.

@OtherSideOfArgument their courage is out of fear, its ether they die fighting against a horde of orks or they die by a firing squad. i rather take my chances with the orks

@LegionFallen Guardsmen have courage though. Even with the given facts you said, if guardsmen (for example Cadians, known for their dicepline) see a horde of 10ft tall orks charging strait at them they hold formation and fight (and probably die) in the name of the God Emperor and their commanding officers. On the other hand, space marines would know that they could win fairly easily and probably wouldn't really be bothered by such a thing.

@OtherSideOfArgument lol nah space marines go into combat with fewer ppl then the guardsman and the marines earned there shit unlike the guards they r just drafted in mass quentys.
