Medieval 2: What fear can do to a weak army

You can see here that mass fear drives the enemy of 6,000+ troops away from the defending forces.
Once one group of troops begins to retreat, a mass panic ensues, as seen in this video.

If you want to strike fear into an enemy unit, nothing works better than naffatun. Place them right behind an infantry unit, turn skirmish off and they wont dissapoint

@2ndpadrummer He's defending a city so he's massing up archers to defend the walls, and he uses only a quarter of warriors to defend the insides of the city if any enemy units get past the walls.

ive kinda noticed a trend in your brit. armies they seem to almost always be 3/4 archers and the other quarter infantry and horse. any reason why? or is it just your preferance? cause i always have a varrying mostly infantry army with only a few horse units supported by archers and that seems to be one of the best ways to go.

@braveheartpart9 yeah, and the other thing is that they cant scale the other walls inside the citadel/fortress....they only have like 2 ladder units and a siege tower that got broken up like its an automatic win for the defenders if they cant get to the other walls so thats why they all ran away...it could be a possibility because that happened to me before

i hate being in the castle i like attacking it more i just take out the wall were the enemy stand then it crushes them lol

@imabee232 perhaps. i suppose it would be hard for them to kick it down when there's a bunch of guys climbing upward on them -- more weight on ladders

@300McLovin if you think about it , it would be impossible to move the ladders. for 1, look at the angle at witch there leaning against the wall, even if he where to push the ladders, he wouldent be able to push them far enough to change there center of gravity and make them fall backwards, also, those ladders haft to way a tone, being made of thick, heavy wood. <---(thats what she said) im not trying to be a dick or anything, just though ide share :)
