The Mercury Post sits with Paul Ablaze, frontman of Montreal metalers Blackguard, prior to the band's set in Toronto on Sunday 19th September.
Following Kamelot's tour cancellation earlier this month, Leaves Eyes and Blackguard announced that they will still play major dates of the ill-fated Kamelot tour. Leaves Eyes and Blackguard shared the stage with special guests Borealis and Unleash the Archers at The Opera House in Toronto.

I've seen Blackguard 3or4 times in London,Ontario & all of the shows they were one of the opening bands.The one time they were opening for Deicide & the turn out was terrible! I had brought my son with me & after their set we went over to talk to them,& their female drummer & guitarist were so arrogant & rude! There was really no one else around & they just looked irritated that we were talking to them & that was after we had bought a t-shirt & Cd,there was no thank YOU! Or anything! So I chalk

I love these guys, but getting rid of their keyboardist was suicide.
thats what made the album profugis mortis so fucking unique. THE KEYBOARDS!
