This is my first experimental Midi driven CG.

This animation does not run in real time, it taken around 52 hours and 30 minutes rendering in 2 PC's, without the modeling and programming time.

285 objects
71146 faces
91 lights
5401 frames
4.984 MB finished(without audio)

Also youtube destroyed my video :(
The images were clean and sharp

  • Did the music drive the animation or the other way around? I'm looking for someone who can drive graphics using midi data (like the animusic guys did).

  • Hello friend...

    The music drives the animation.

I created a software to receive the midi data and generate the animation...

But I like much more to drive real devices with midi, take a look in my real animusic videos.

  • I do some animating, and no matter how long it takes to render, it is always worth it (within reason).

  • Maybe better modeling technicks and a newer computer helps. This video taken so long to render.

  • @zeratul575 ... thought? Maybe... but I'm very bad at 3D modeling... I would need some classes! I'm very busy in these days, I dont plan to make such classes soon. Thanks for your post ;)

  • @ChicoDaRave have u thought of working for animusic?

  • Thanks!

It is the idea, to make many instruments, maybe bizarre instruments, all playing together... But I will need a better computer to do.

  • nice and clever to combine the midi data with the 4d models and to combine it into a full motion video.

    Nice one

What if you combine classic notes into instruments?

    Sounds like 3d orchestra ;-)

  • ???

  • i said what what in the butt?
