Gov. Paul LePage was asked about LD1346, which would roll back certain child labor protections in Maine. This from a Town Hall meeting held in Topsham, Maine, 22 April 2011.
This is why there are no jobs in America. Child labor isn't allowed and there's a minimum wage. That's why jobs are going overseas. Yes, it is entirely out of greed. And no, there's absolutely nothing wrong with greed, either.
It's too expensive for businesses to operate in America. Social security, unemployment, minimum wage - all these things are taking away your jobs! Whether you'd like to believe it or not!
The title says it all this idiot doesn't even know what's in the bill. Young people up to the age of 20 could be paid for 180 days a wage illegals wouldn't work for. Scumbag

Yes, kids do get jobs....weekends jobs, such as mowing laws, taking out
garbage, bagging groceries...things like that.
Also, just because he grew up, with a shitty childhood, that doesn't mean
that other kids need to.
This reminds me of the episode of the animated show "Boondocks", where
the one child character is forced to work for some fatass, who says something
like "When I was a kid there were no child labor laws, so shut up".
